FAQ:

Is there a report I can use to see all my students who have completed a single target?

This is a fantastic question. As of the date of this article, we technically don't.

The Detailed Target Evaluation Spreadsheet will report in Excel format all targets completed by all the students you select, and you can then filter the target you want. However, there is a quicker and more reusable way: the learning plan.

Single Target Learning Plan

In just a few quick steps, a Foundry Admin user at your school can create a tool designed to hold a single learning target a time:

In the Admin view:

  1. Create a new learning plan template. Name it something obvious, like "Target Filter - " and perhaps include the name of the target you want to see (more on this later).
  2. Add all of your subjects, or all of your most frequently-used subjects. This will save time when reusing the plan in the future.
  3. Select the target you want to review.
  4. Assign the new template to all your students.

Now, from the Advisor view:

  1. Navigate to the Performance Page.
  2. Select 'All My Students' from the slide-out menu at left. Remember, if the Performance page is displaying a single student, click the student's name to pull out the menu.
  3. Choose the new plan name from the learning plan dropdown. You will see all your students. Those who have completed the target will show a solid green bar.
  4. Print this report from the Performance Page if necessary.

Edit the Plan for Reuse:

You can change the plan as often as you like. Simply navigate back to Admin > Manage Plan Templates, select the plan, and click 'Edit Template.'

Deselect the target you no longer need, and choose a different target. Click 'save' at the bottom of the screen when you have finished changing targets.

Foundry recommends changing the name of the plan here, to avoid confusion. Suggestions include including the name of the current target in the title, and adding the most current date and the name of the person who made the most recent change.

Note: editing the plan name and editing the targets are separate steps.

Finally, reassign the plan.

REMINDER: each student has a copy of the most recently assigned template, so changes to the template do not automatically change the students' plans. This feature is to protect customizations to individual students' plans. Reassigning the plan makes the changes to individual plans.
