Pre-selected Content Targets

Your teachers and students may find themselves repeatedly aligning the same content targets every time a certain learning experience plan form is used. For example, every time a Community Service plan is filled out, the same Social Studies: Human Interaction content targets are aligned. To make the planning process more seamless for your users, we offer a pre-selected content target prompt to allow certain content targets to automatically appear on a specific learning experience plan each and every time it is filled out by students or teachers. Setting this feature up is a two-step process:

  1.  First, you will need to collect the ID numbers for each of the content targets you wish to add to a certain proposal form.  To find these ID numbers navigate to Admin > Learning Targets > Manage Content Targets. You will see all of the subjects content targets, organized by subject group, with respective ID numbers. Make a note of each ID number for each target to be pre-selected on your learning experience plan.
  2. Navigate to Admin > Forms, select the form (ex: experience plan) to which you would like to add the pre-selected content targets, and click 'edit' (the pencil icon):
      • Using the 'Add Prompt' menu, add a 'Pre-selected Learning Target' prompt option.
      • Fill in the Prompt Title and Description as you would like it to read.
      • Click the 'Add Option' button and type a single ID number in the 'Option Text' field. Click the 'Add Option' button for each content target to be pre-selected.
      • When all the ID numbers have been added, click the prompt's 'save' button.
      • Click the 'submit' button at the bottom of the form to apply changes you have made. Now, each and every time a student or teacher fills out this learning experience plan, these specific content targets will automatically appear on the form for the student or teacher to select as acknowledgement.

Pre-selected Assessments

Your teachers and students may find themselves repeatedly taking the same assessments every time a certain learning experience is started or finished. For example, every time a Community Service plan is filled out, your Communication Assessment is taken during or after the project. To simplify process, we offer a pre-selected assessment prompt, allowing the form to trigger an assessment when a learning experience plan is used. Setting this feature up is a two-step process. Read on for step-by-step instructions:

  1. First, you will need to collect the ID numbers for each of the assessment forms you wish to add to a certain proposal form.  To find these ID numbers navigate to Admin > Forms and select 'Assessments' from the dropdown menu. Find and select the assessment you would like to add to the proposal form.  Make a note of each ID number for assessments to be pre-selected on your learning experience plan.
  2. From the Admin > Home > 'List Forms' (rightmost) column, select the Project Request form (i.e. learning experience plan) which you would like to add the pre-selected assessments and click 'edit'.
      • Using the 'Add Prompt' menu, add a 'Pre-selected Assessment' prompt option.
      • Fill in the Prompt Title and Description as you would like it to read.
      • Click the 'Add Option' button and type a single ID number in the 'Option Text' field. Click the 'Add Option' button for each content target to be pre-selected.
      • When all the ID numbers have been added, click the prompt's 'save' button
      • Click the 'submit' button at the bottom of the form to save and activate the prompt changes you have made. Now, each and every time an advisor or student fills out this proposal form, these assessments will automatically appear on the form and be assigned to all project members.
